Cheryl’s Testimony

For a long time, we searched for answers as my son was misdiagnosed with everything from typhoid to liver disease. By the time we were transferred to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, the journey had already taken a devastating toll.

After an unnecessary surgery and a late diagnosis of leukemia, we lost him just days after learning the truth.

In the wake of a loss that shook my very existence, the Wesoamo Foundation became my emotional anchor. Through every stage of my grief, they were there—visiting constantly and walking beside me on the long road toward recovery.

Their support was so profound that my mother chose to fund another child’s surgery as a tribute to the care we received. I have equally volunteered by raising funds and creating awareness on childhood cancers with the team at WESOAMO.

My name is Cheryl. I am a mother who lost her son, yet I stand here full of gratitude for the light the Wesoamo Foundation brought into our darkest hours.

“On behalf of all the families you touch: thank you for everything.”
